And Then There Were 18; Tan Ousted

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

From early position, Stephen Woodhead opened with a raise to 1,700. Paul Elliott called from the hijack seat, and then Darian Tan reraised all in for 7,200 on the button. The two players in the blinds folded, and Woodhead reshoved. Elliott had approximately 16,500 behind and Woodhead had him covered. Elliott thought for a little bit, but eventually folded, and it was Woodhead versus Tan with Tan's tournament life on the line.

Tan tabled the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and Woodhead had the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Elliott said he also had two kings.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}, and Tan was eliminated in 19th place. Woodhead moved to 38,000 in chips.
