Brandon Shack-Harris Eliminated in 6th Place (AU$11,488)

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Brandon Shack-Harris - 6th place
Brandon Shack-Harris - 6th place

Hand #38: Scott Calcagno opened to 6,000 in the cutoff and Brandon Shack-Harris moved all in for roughly 60,000. Calcagno called and the cards were tabled.

Calcagno: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Shack-Harris: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

With Shack-Harris leading but flipping for his tournament life, the {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{K-Hearts} flop gave Calcagno outs to any ace, queen or jack, and when the {10-Clubs} landed on the turn, those outs increased with any king helping too.

Unfortunately for the current leader of the WSOP Player of the Year, the river was the {K-Clubs} to send Shack-Harris tumbling to the rail in 6th place for an AU$11,488 payday.

Hand #39: Nelson Maccini opened to 6,000 and Nick Piskopos called in the big blind before leading for 20,000 on the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop to force a fold from Maccini.

Tran: {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Piskopos: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

With Tran trailing, the {3-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board wouldn't connect with him as he would be sent packing in 7th place for an AU$8,900 payday.

Calcagno folded, but Maccini called as the {A-Hearts} landed on the turn and Maccini was faced with a bet of 21,000. After some deliberation, Maccini called before checking the {Q-Spades} on the river.

Dales pushed out a bet of 30,000, and after a few moments in the tank, Maccini made the call tabling his {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} to scoop the pot from Dales and his {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.
