Pocket Cowboys for Portaro

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Antonio Esfandiari opened for 700 under the gun and received a call from Mike Leah in the hijack. Bruno Portaro then three-bet to 2,100 from the cutoff, leaving himself just 1,125 behind. The button and both blinds folded, and then Esfandiari got out of the way. Leah thought for nearly 90 seconds before four-betting, and of course Portaro called off.

Portaro: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Leah: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

The {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop gave Leah a pair of eights, but he needed more help if he hoped to crack Portaro's big pocket pair. The {4-Clubs} turn didn't do it, and neither did the {2-Diamonds} river. The cowboys held for Portaro and he scored the double.
