Updated Counts, Jeffrey Cormier Pulling Away

Jeffrey Cormier

Jeffrey Cormier has been the most active player at the final table today. Even after folding the river in a huge pot to Nathan Hall earlier and being down about 3-million chips, and doubling up Jason Mandanici-Turcot two times, Cormier has pulled ahead of the final three players.

Mandanici-Turcot got all in with {4-}{4-} against the {a-}{10-} of Cormier earlier and turned a straight to double. Cormier slowly worked his way back up just won a big hand against Hall.

He raised to 235,000 on the button and Hall defended from the big blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Hall checked. Cormier bet 235,000 and Hall called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Hall checked again. Cormier bet again, this time making it 425,000. Hall called again. The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Hall checked one more time.

"You had to put an eight on the river," Corimier said, "I check."

"You're probably good," Hall said.

Cormier showed {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a set of fives and Hall mucked.
