Isabelle Tremblay Finding Her Stride

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Isabelle Tremblay
Isabelle Tremblay

Isabelle Tremblay has played most of the starting flights for WPT National Montreal and hasn't been able to make any deep runs to this point.

Earlier today it looked like more of the same when she was the third person all in preflop with the best hand. She had {10-}{10-} against {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and {8-}{8-}. She was ahead until the river. When the {a-Spades} hit the river, Co Tran won the hand. Orlando Moretti was eliminated and Tremblay was left with 9,000.

Over the last few levels she has managed to build her stack over 70,000. Her demeanor at the table is confident and calculated.

On one recent hand, she was on the button.

Before the action came to her, she was watching each player in turn. One by one they folded until it was her turn. She finally looked at her own cards and then the stacks of the two players in the blinds. She raised to 3,000 and and resumed her comfortable pose. Sitting straight with both hands laid on top of her cards, one atop the other.

Yu Gao was in the small blind and seemed to react when Tremblay raised. A few seconds later, he mucked his hand. Tam Ho's hand quickly followed Gao's into the muck and Tremblay took down the pot.
