Andrew Boujaoude Becomes Fourth Double Quantum Qualifier; Leclerc Bags Second Best Overall Stack
Day 1h of the World Cup of Cards Event #1: NL Hold'em Quantum is complete. Wednesday evening's flight attracted another 56 entries to Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, QC. This was the eighth of ten starting flights for the $200,000 guaranteed event.
The unique event features multiple buy-in levels with a different percentage making Day 2 for each. Day 1h had an entry fee of $350 with 13% of the field moving on. There were eight spots up for grabs, each receiving a $400 bonus for qualifying.
A bonus feature of the Quantum flights is a special reward for qualifying multiple stacks on Day 2. Players may only take their largest stack forward and for each stack they forfeit, they receive a cash bonus of $1,500. This evening, Andrew Boujaoude did just that and walked away with $1,900, qualifying for Day 2, a second time.
Mathieu Leclerc lead the field on Day 1h and will currently has the second-best stack heading into Day 2. Leclerc bagged 386,200 to claim the top spot. Also heading into Day 2 are Timothy Aube (242,800), Jeffrey Cormier (162,900), Bill Kontaratos (136,800), Jean-Francois Lescadres (91,900), Andrew Boujaoude (45,900), Sylvain Lepage (39,000), and [Removed:367] (18,000).
