Tomas Larivee Magni finishes Day 2 on top and leads the final 11 into Day 3. Magni bagged 2,294,000 and is the only player entering the day with over 2,000,000. Each player is guaranteed to take home at least $8,100 and first place is worth $110,000. The $1,650 CPPT Main Event is Event #24 of the World Cup of Cards at Playground Poker Club has the largest first place prize of the tournament and the only one over $100,000.

Entering the day behind Magni, Brady Hinnegan, Laurence Louie, and Elie A are all over 1,000,000 and looking to catch and overtake Magni. Louie was the chip leader before Magni won a huge pot against, eventual 17th place finisher Paul Scott. Scott was defending in the big blind and check-raised Magni on a ten-high board. He fired the turn and the river and Magni called and ended up winning a 1-million chip pot to take the lead.

The Day 1 chip leaders both fell in Day 2. Sofiane Boulila, who came into today as the overall chip leader fell short and eventually busted 31st when he got all in with ace-high against Man Sze Chow, who had pocket aces. Jean Sebastien Dubois, who was the Day 1a leader, busted in 14th place. He got ace-jack all-in against pocket tens and lost to a full house.

The players restart tomorrow at noon. Playground Poker Club will award its biggest first place prize of the World Cup of Cards tomorrow when one of these 11 players takes down Event #24.
