Salvatore Commisso is now the biggest stack heading into Day 2 of partypoker's $500,000 Guarantee Canadian Grand Prix. He bagged the lead ahead of 38 other players who also qualified from his flight. He eliminated two players shortly before the end of the day and ended up bagging a whopping 872,000. This flight drew 386 entries.

Bharat Shetty also passed the previous big stack with 745,500. He called off an open shove with {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

"I'm either going to have four-hundred thousand or eight-hundred thousand," he said and called an early position all in. He was up against {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and hit a six on the flop. He stayed ahead and won the hand to end the day. He still missed catching Commisso by almost 130,000.

The rest of the players in this flight all bagged before 500,000, which is still well over 100 big blinds when play resumes Day 2 at 2,000/4,000 blinds.

There are still two more live flights that will send about 70 more players through to Day 2. Players can also buy directly into Day 2, space permitting, for $1,100. They will start Day 2 with 200,000, which works out to 50 big blinds.
