Among the remaining contenders are players who have already battled their way through qualifying events to claim their spot in this historic event. Joining them are several players who secured their entries through PokerStars Online Packages. Whether through the intense atmosphere of live play or the global reach of online poker, these players have already proven they have what it takes to compete on the big stage! Ireland’s Mary-Rose McCann, who earned her seat via a PokerStars Online Qualifier and brings 351,000 chips into Day 2. Shes returns third in the counts, after bagging the Day 1a chip lead. Also advancing are France’s Juliane Papazian (42,000) and UK’s Sophie Stubbs (350,000), the two remaining PokerStars Silver Pass winners.

Christina Solli
Christina Solli

Christina Solli from Norway leads the field with an impressive stack of 429,000 chips, followed closely by Laura Glasgow with 361,000 chips. Solli had an exceptional run on Day 1b, steadily building and maintaining a strong stack throughout the day. Her momentum kicked off early, as she eliminated a player just a few hours into play, setting the tone for her successful day.

With 20% of the field surviving to Day 2 and only 15% reaching the money, the bubble is expected to burst within the first few levels of play. The official prize pool breakdown will be announced at the start of Day 2.

Play resumes today, Saturday, November 23rd, at 12:00 p.m. local time at The Hippodrome Casino. The action restarts at blinds of 2,000/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante—the lowest level reached across all Day 1 flights. Levels will be 40 minutes long, and play will conclude around 4:00 p.m. to allow Main Event players to participate in the £220 50/50 Freezeout.

PokerNews will continue providing live coverage from the tournament floor until a winner is crowned on Sunday. Stay tuned for updates!
