Smith Fades Elimination Versus Cloutier
All of the chips were in the process of going in the middle on the turn in a hand between TJ Cloutier, who was in the hijack and Cory Smith, who was on the button. When the chips went in, Cloutier triumphantly slammed a stack of chips down.
The board read with Smith's tournament life at stake.
TJ Cloutier:
Cory Smith:
Smith found his two pair, kings and tens with a flush draw to be up against Cloutier's higher two pair of kings and queens. The river fell and Cloutier's triumphant chip slam was followed by a closed-fisted smack of the table as he exclaimed a chop due to both players filling up to the same full house.
Smith chided back at Cloutier's disappointment with a bit of his own: "Where's my diamond at?!" he said as the dealer had split up the pot and sent both players their fair share.
