Tobin Doubles in Dramatic Fashion
According to a few players at Table 48, Dave Tobin just found a double in an improbable manner. Tobin had raised to 1,600 before the flop and a player in the blinds meant to three-bet to 4,000. However, the bet came out as a string raise and was ruled to be a call.
The two went to the flop and action went check-check. Tobin's opponent bet 1,500 on the turn and Tobin called.
The river came and Tobin's opponent bet another 6,000. He clicked it back, raising to 12,000 and was immediately three-bet all in for his stack. He called just as quickly.

The table was astonished to see that Tobin's opponent had flopped a set of aces, only to see Tobin turn a set of jacks that became quads on the river, trumping his opponent's aces full to earn the double.
