Hinton and Barone Battle Early

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Six players saw the flop of {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for 700 each. The action checked around to Vinnie Barone, who bet 1,200. Debbie Hinton called from the small blind, and the player in the big blind also called. The turn was the {3-Clubs}, and that prompted Hinton to bet 1,500. The player to her left called, and Barone folded what looked like it could be a big hand as he seemed pained with the decision. He later told the table that he folded {a-}{k-}.

Hinton went heads up to the river with the player to her left. The river was the {3-Diamonds}, and Hinton counted out a bet of 14,000, but before putting it in she looked at her remaining chips and realized she only had a little bit more. She then went all in for around 15,400. Her opponent took a few minutes and folded, and Hinton won the pot.

A couple hands later, Barone got the better of Hinton.

Barone raised preflop to 750, and Hinton three-bet to 2,000 in position. Barone called, and the two players were heads up to the flop of {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}. Both players checked, and the turn was the {10-Hearts}. Barone bet 2,000, and Hinton called. The river was the {4-Spades}, and Barone bet 12,000. Hinton shrugged and folded the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} face up.
