Thomas Ristorcelli Leads Final 24 of the 2024 Winamax Sismix; Team Pro Romain Lewis Still in the Race
At noon today, 453 players out of a record-breaking field of 2,736 entrants came back on Day 2 of the 2024 Winamax Sismix Main Event, here at the Casino de Marrakech in the beautiful Es Saadi Resort.
They were all in the money, hoping to get closer to the 1,500,000 MAD first-place prize. However, after the first break of the day, half of the field was gone. The tournament continued at this quick pace all day long, but eventually slowed down as the end of the day was approaching. Six all-in and call situations were eventually needed before the elimination of Soliman, who didn't reach the final 24 players.
While all eyes were on Mikael 'Shishi' Berrio (42nd, 30,800 MAD), TV host Erika Moulet (31st, 37,000 MAD), Guillaume Darcourt (31st, 37,000 MAD), or Hadrien 'zChance44' Gallois (27th, 45,000 MAD), Thomas Ristorcelli made his way to Day 3 and ended up as the chip leader with 14,375,000. He is followed by Kasra Rashidi (12,875,000) and Hedi Boussetta (12,850,000), who both have the same stack.

After he found himself with only two blinds left earlier in the tournament, Sacha 'Pyro' Cohen came back from dinner break with a massive lead of 7,000,000. He managed to keep his stack until the end and bagged 7,925,000. Pyro will be one of the players to follow tomorrow, like Matthieu Lamagnere (6,975,000), who has already finished second and third in Winamax Main Events, or Romain Lewis.
Down to less than 700,000 after the dinner break, the last Winamax Team Pro standing doubled up and tripled up in just a few minutes, taking the lead at the time and qualifying for Day 3 with 6,800,000.
Another good story could be Hugues Girard's. Runner-up of the Winamax Poker Tour Grand Final at the beginning of the year, he is still here and will try to claim the title that he missed. He'll be back on Day 2 with 5,450,000 chips.
But the dream might be even bigger for Aurélien 'Guignol' Guiglini. The former Winamax Team Pro is mostly known for being one of Winamax's masterminds until last year. He was behind most of Winamax's poker offerings, such as Expressos and the tournament grid. Now that he has stepped back from this activity, he can play and maybe win as he bagged 5,175,000.
Among the remaining players are also Timothée Rey (4,900,000), Petre Ionescu (4,750,000), Luca Delerm (3,550,000), Didier Mambour (3,500,000) or Paul Beccari (2,375,000). They all secured 45,000 MAD so far.
