Tsunamy Leads With One Million Chips As SISMIX Main Event Day 1a Concludes
Day 1a of the €500 (5,500 Dirham) Winamax SISMIX Main Event, running at the Casino de Marrakech in the El Saadi Resort, has now concluded.
There were a total of 421 entrants on Day 1a. Of those, 71 made it through to Day 2 and into the money.
Javier Tsunamy is the end of day chip leader with 1,000,000 chips. Tsunamy climbed through the ranks as the day progressed and was responsible for busting Mohamed Ali Houssam on the bubble of the tournament. Whatever happens in the remaining flights, Tsunamy will return as a serious contender on Day 2.
Mehdi Lebbadi-Breteau finished Day 1a close behind in second place with 950,000 chips. He has only a few recorded live cashes to his name and so is well positioned to pick up his biggest ever cash when he returns to the felt.
In third place is Winamax pro Pierre Calamusa with 750,000 chips. In fourth place is another Winamax pro, Davidi Kitai, who bagged 680,000 chips. Abderrahim Ineflas rounds out the top five with 665,000 chips.

There are several other notable players who made it through the field. Twitch streamer Hadrien Gallois, known online as ‘zchance44’ finished in 22nd place with a decent stack. EPT Monte Carlo winner Nicolas Dumont also made it through, as did WSOP bracelet winner Alexandre Reard.
Day 1b is set to kick off tomorrow, May 26, at noon local time. The structure remains the same, with 30-minute blind levels and 50,000 starting stacks. That will be the second of four starting flights, with Day 2 taking place on Sunday May 28.
