With 415 players today, not only is today's Day 1c bigger than last year's, the field for the entire Main Event is as well. So far we have 888 entrants or 16 more than last year's 872. Late registration is still open for another 25 minutes, so we should expect the final entry count for the tournament to get slightly bigger.
2016 Winamax SISMIX
Winamax VIP and footballer Bernard Mendy appeared all but out of the tournament. With a short-stack of around 10,000 chips, Mendy got it all in with and was well behind his opponent's . Things looked worse for Mendy when there was no ace on the flop of . The on the turn added four more outs with a gutshot straight draw. The completed the straight giving Mendy some hope.
Team Winamax players Pierre Calamusa (100,000 chips) and Alexandre Luneau (45,000 chips) appear to be also holding their own today on separate tables, while Leo Margets (25,000 chips) is also still alive to make Day 2.

With 428 entrants in Day 1c, the Winamax SISMIX Main Event field has reach 901 players - including 329 re-entries - or 29 more than last year's 872. This year's tournament's field size also represents 231 players more than the 670 that entered in 2014, which was the first year the festival ran.
- Day 1a - 179 Entrants
- Day 1b - 294 Entrants
- Day 1c - 428 Entrants
The big board is now showing just 214 of the 428 to enter Day 1c creating an average stack of exactly double the 20,000 starting stack with 40,000 chips.
The tournament director informed us that payouts will likely be announced in a couple of hours while everything is being confirmed.
The 1,600 MAD (€147) Le Totem which began at 5:00 p.m. is taking place in another room due to the Main Event needing most of the space in the main tournament area.
However, now that the Day 1c field is less than half of its total, there is enough room for the 600 MAD (€55) La Fievre Satellite at 8:00 p.m. to take place side by side in the same room with the Winamax SISMIX Main Event. Dealers are getting ready with the first cards scheduled to go in the air in 15 minutes.
