Koon Back In It, Takes From Kempe

Level 7 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jason Koon opened to 6,500 from the button on his new table. Rainer Kempe called in the small blind and Jake Schindler called in the big blind.

The flop was {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and all three players checked to see the {k-Spades} on the turn. There, action checked to Koon who bet 16,000. Kempe called while Schindler ducked out.

On the {10-Spades} river, Kempe checked a third time. Koon now bet 48,000. Kempe thought for a few seconds then called. Koon showed {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and that earned him the pot when Kempe mucked.

"Super thin value bet, man," Sean Winter said to Koon after the hand. "That's a scary board."

"Not that thin," Kempe responded.
