Soverel Runs into Riess' Bullets

Level 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Sam Soverel
Sam Soverel

Sam Soverel opened to 55,000 from the small blind, Ryan Riess called in the big blind and the flop came down {4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Action checked to Riess, he bet 110,000 and Soverel check-raised all in for 395,000.

Riess snap-called, turning over {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} for a pair of aces. Soverel looked of disgust as he tabled {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for top pair. The {3-Spades} on the turn and {7-Clubs} on the river changed nothing as Riess' aces took down the pot, eliminating Soverel in seventh on the bubble.

Play has halted for the day with the elimination of Soverel, a short recap will be posted shortly to summarize the day.
