Katz Flops a Boat

Level 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick limped the small blind with the {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Cary Katz checked his option holding the {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

The {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop saw Chidwick bet 25,000 with trips and Katz, who had flopped a boat, just called.

Chidwick then check-called bets of 60,000 and 145,000 on the {J-Diamonds} turn and {5-Hearts} respectively. Katz had the better full house and won the pot.

The Rich Get Richer

Level 16 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised the button holding {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Anthony Zinno defended the big blind with {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

When the flop fell {2-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Hearts}, Zinno checked and Chidwick bet 45,000. Zinno check-potted it to 265,000 and Chidwick called to see the {5-Diamonds} turn, which both players checked.

The {J-Clubs} river saw both players check again and Chidwick dragged the pot.

The Event #6 final table
The Event #6 final table

We hope you're not tired of Stephen Chidwick yet!

You saw plenty of him in the 2018 US Poker Open on his way to winning the overall series title, and thus far at the 2019 USPO he's made four final tables, including a victory in Event #1: $10,000 NLH. Over the course of the first six events, Chidwick has four cashes and four final tables for over $350,000, and that doesn't even count what he will win today.

With a cash in Event #6: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha, he books another score of at least $58,500, bringing his total cashes to at least $400,000. Chances are he'll win even more than that as he carries the chip lead into today's final table, being over a million chips ahead of his nearest competitor. A top prize of $351,000 awaits the winner.

Among others to make it to the final table are Anthony Zinno, Tom Marchese, and Sean Rafael, while Ben Lamb makes his second cash of the series and Cary Katz notches his third. Yesterday, Katz finished second to Ali Imsirovic in Event #5: $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em for $295,000. Katz enters the final table with 665,000 chips and sits fourth in the pack as he makes his third final table of the series.

Here's a look at how the rest of the final table stacks up:
