Haxton Runs Into a Monster Hand

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante

Erik Seidel raised to 3,500 from the hijack and Isaac Haxton re-raised to 9,000 in the cutoff. Adrian Mateos made a four-bet to 28,000 from the small blind and that got rid of Seidel. Haxton, however, only had around 50,000 to start the hand and pushed all in. Mateos instantly called and tabled {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Haxton was in trouble with {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and would need some help to stay alive.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Mateos was still out front with his pocket kings. The {6-Clubs} on the turn gave Haxton some life as he picked up a flush draw, but the {k-Diamonds} on the river only improved Mateos' hand to a full house.
