Pollak Picks Up Eight-Perfect

Level 15

2-7 Triple Draw

Isaac Haxton was the most active player in the round of 2-7 Triple Draw and he opened the last hand again, holding two deuces and two other wheel cards. Benjamin Pollak defended his big blind and both players took two.

Pollak had a jack-high and led out, earning a call from Haxton who didn't improve.

Pollak drew one on the second draw while Haxton remained drawing two. Pollak hit a deuce to complete eight-perfect while Haxton now had four wheel cards in addition to an ace. Haxton called one more bet.

The final draw saw Pollak pat while Haxton still could outdraw his opponent, should he peel a five or a six. He paired his four instead and laid his hand down after Pollak fired one more bet.
