Hellmuth Says Goodbye

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Hellmuth returned during the last break of late registration for his second bullet of the day and it lasted about as long as his first one did. On a board reading {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Hellmuth was all in for around 40,000 with {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and was up against the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} of Ryan Riess.

Hellmuth held a straight and flush draw but the {6-Diamonds} on the river awarded him a consolation prize of a pair of sixes, not good enough to beat Riess' pair of kings.
