Tahvonen Eliminates Rantamaki

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Joni Rantamaki ran into a series of bad luck in two hands in less than an orbit and is now at the door.

In the first hand, Vojtech Skalak jammed for 14,500 before Rantamaki over-jammed for 24,000.

Skalak turned over {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and was getting up out of his seat when he saw Rantamaki held {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. Skalak sat back down after he nailed a set on the {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop. The {7-Clubs} on the turn and the {6-Diamonds} on the river were of no help to Rantamaki and he doubled up his opponent.

A few hands later, Rantamaki open jammed for 12,000 with {K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} from middle position and Tahvonen found a call from the big blind with {Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

Tahvonen paired the {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{A-Clubs} flop and eliminated Rantamaki after the {10-Spades} came on the turn and the {J-Diamonds} spiked the river.
