Bhavin Khatri

Bhavin Khatri now has almost 1 million chips after two big hands.

We learned from the table, that it was the first hand that led to Mark Brockwell's elimination in the tournament. The hand began with Daniel Petersen raising from the button to 22,000. Khatri called from the small blind, while Brockwell three-bet to 70,000 from the big blind. Petersen got out of the way and Khatri smooth-called from the small blind.

Khatri checked on a {9-}{10-}{6-} flop, and Brockwell went all-in for about 180,000 chips. Khatri quickly called with {9-}{9-} giving him a set of nines, while Brockwell held {8-}{5-} for a gut-shot straight draw. Brockwell was unable to improve his hand and was eliminated from the tournament while shipping a big pot to Khatri.

In another hand, Petersen opened the action with a raise from mid position which Khatri who was next to act called followed by a few folds before Nicolas Cardyn called from the blinds.

Cardyn fired out a bet for 29,000 on a flop of {8-}{8-}{5-}. Petersen got out of the way, and Khatri opted to call. Cardyn fired out again, this time for 73,000 chips when the {4-Spades} appeared on the turn. Both players checked when the board completed with a {7-}. Khatri won another big pot with {K-}{k-} while Cardyn's stack took a minor dent down to 400,000.
