Kara Rivers Sorensen in Big Clash

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Andreas Sorensen was seemingly on his way to a big stack, but the river ruined his plans as it gave Tutku Halima Kara the winning hand.

Kara told us at the completion of the hand that he called a raise from the big blind, after which the flop brought out {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Kara check-called another bet and on the turn the {6-Hearts} hit.

"I checked again, and he moved all in," Kara said, as he risked his stack worth 61,500 on the turn.

Sorensen showed pocket queens, and he was well ahead against Kara's {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}.

The river brought the {K-Hearts}, and Kara jumped out of his seat in excitement. Sorensen shook his head and left the table for a hand as Kara stacked his newly won chips.
