Kieran Davey Leads Day 1a of UKIPT London Main Event, Adam McKola Bags for Day 2

Day 1a of the PokerStars UKIPT London Main Event, running at the Hippodrome Casino, has now concluded. A total of 123 entries were made to the flight and of those 18 players made it through to Day 2 and into the money.

Way out in front, Kieran Davey of the UK finished the flight as chip leader with 718,000 chips.

In second place was Alexios Zervos of Greece with 418,000. Finishing the flight in third place was Danny Pyke of the UK, who bagged up 316,000.

Fifth place Tom Burton won his seat by filling in a post event player survey and now has a shot at serious money when he returns.

Fresh off his third place finish in the UKIPT Brighton Main Event, Adam McKola also bagged up and will return for Day 2 with 193,000 chips after finishing the flight in eighth place.

The Main Event will continue with Day 1b, the second of three starting flights, which commences Friday at 12 p.m. local time. Day 1c will also be running later in the day, starting at 7 p.m. local time.
