Winner to be Crowned Tonight in UKIPT Edinburgh Main Event
It's time for the Final Day of the PokerStars UKIPT Edingburgh Main Event, running at Genting Casino Fountain Park. Out of 220 entries across three flights, there are now just six players remaining in contention for the prize money and trophy.
Play resumes at 12:30 p.m. local time and the event is set to play down to a winner.
The prize pool for the tournament is £211,200. The next to bust will receive £9,100 in prize money and first place is set to walk away with £44,200.
Scottish player Daniel Gormley is way out ahead with 2,780,000. Having turned professional during Covid, and having briefly worked as a dealer at Genting, Daniel will be going into the UKIPT Edinburgh final with a massive 2:1 chip lead over his nearest rival.
PokerStars Team Online pro Benjamin Spragg is in second place with 1,380,000 chips. Spraggy is in the running for his second UKIPT title of the season following his victory in Brighton earlier in the year.
Bagging up in third place was Fintan Hand, also a member of PokerStars Team Online, who currently has 955,000 chips.
Also in contention are Stephen Mckay (640,000), Andrew Mackenzie (500,000), and Nohad Teliani (365,000).
