Badziakouski Finds a Double with Wild Runout

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski got his last 355,000 into the middle and Michael Soyza put him at risk.

Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Michael Soyza: {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

The entire table reacted to every street as the flop came {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and Badziakouski took an early lead. However, that lead was short lived when a {2-Clubs} on the turn gave Soyza deuces full of tens. But in one last plot twist, it was a {k-Diamonds} on the river that gave Badziakouski tens full of kings to claim the pot and stay alive with the double.

With over 200,000 in the pot and {q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} on the board, Elton Tsang bet 150,000 from the big blind and Sam Greenwood came along from the cutoff.

The turn was {j-Diamonds} and Tsang continued for 300,000. Greenwood went into the tank for a brief moment and considered his options before he tossed his cards in the muck and gave Tsang the pot.

Soyza Raises Tsang; Joins 1M Club

Level 15 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Elton Tsang raised to 50,000 from the cutoff and Michael Soyza called from the button. The blinds got out of the way and the flop was {6-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Spades}.

Tsang bet 60,000 and Soyza went into the tank. After a few moments of thought, he emerged with a raise to 200,000. Tsang thought it over but didn't waste much time in getting away from it and Soyza dragged a pot to move to 1,000,000 chips on Day 2.

PokerNews Podcast

In the latest PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen discuss their recent road trip across the Lone Star State as a part of PokerNews' Texas Week, which you can read about in full here.

Along with senior writer Jon Sofen, the trio spent six days traveling to 26 different poker rooms in Houston, Austin, Odessa, Midland, Fort Worth, Dallas, and College Station. They also swung by Doyle Brunson's hometown of Longworth as well as Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, where "Texas Dolly" attended college and excelled at both basketball and track.

In addition to exploring rooms such as Texas Card House, The Lodge (where they touched base with Doug Polk), KoJack's, Red Star Social, Shuffle 214, Wautauga Social Lounge, Poker House Dallas, and Game On Social, the crew also stopped by some historical poker sites, such as the graves of Poker Hall of Famers Jack "Treetop" Straus and Johnny Moss.

The Texas poker market has grown leaps and bounds over the past five years, and if you've ever wanted a glimpse into what it's like, this week's episode is for you!
