Hand #61: Smith raised to 525,000 from the hijack with {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and Aaron Zang used a time bank card in the cutoff with {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} before he folded. The rest of the players also mucked their cards and Smith won the pot.

Hands #54-58: Smith Finds a Double, Takes the Lead

Level 21 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Hand #54: Bill Perkins moved all in from under the gun with {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}, everyone folded and he took down the pot.

Hand #55: Stephen Chidwick was under the gun when he looked down at {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and raised to 525,000. The rest of the table folded and Chidwick took down the pot.

Hand #56 Dan Smith opened to 500,000 from under the gun with {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Vivek Rajkumar called on the button with his {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The flop came down {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Smith bet 1,000,000 with his overpair and Rajkumar bumped it up to 2,700,000.

Smith moved all in for 7,440,000 and Rajkumar instantly called with his top two. Players turned over their hands and Smith was at risk of elimination.

Dan Smith: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Vivek Rajkumar: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

A {3-Diamonds} came down on the turn and Rajkumar was still ahead with his two pair. Smith would need a river to keep his hopes alive. The dealer flipped over a fortuitous card for Smith when the {j-Spades} completed the board, giving Smith a set and the pot for a complete double through the start of day chipleader.

Hand #57 Chidwick limped the small blind with {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, Smith checked behind holding {4-Spades}{2-Hearts} and the dealer spread out {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} on the flop. Chidwick checked to Smith who bet 325,000 and Chidwick called.

The {5-Spades} paired the board on the turn Chidwick again checked to Smith, he bet 500,000 and Chidwick again check-called. A {10-Spades} completed the board, Chidwick checked to Smith who fired in a bet of 2,800,000. Chidwick quickly folded and Smith took down the pot.

Hand #58: Chidwick opened to 525,000 from the button with {a-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Smith called in the small blind with his {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The flop came down {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Smith checked to Chidwick who bet 500,000 and Smith folded, sending the pot to Chidwick.

Hand #51: Alfred DeCarolis limped the hijack, Chidwick raised to 700,000 from the small blind, and DeCarolis moved all in for 2,750,000. Chidwick snap-called and the two tabled their hands.

Alfred DeCarolis: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Stephen Chidwick: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

The dealer fanned out {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} on the flop and DeCarolis was in rough shape. A {5-Diamonds} fell as the turn card and DeCarolis picked up some help with a wheel draw. The {a-Diamonds} landed on the river, cementing the pot for Chidwick who sent DeCarolis out in seventh place.
