Cao Climbing, O’Dwyer Wins One From Sontheimer
Hand-for-hand continued, though there have been some chips changing hands. In the first hand it was a limped pot between Peter Jetten and Rui Cao in a battle of the blinds.
Both checked the flop, and after Jetten checked the turn Cao took a stab for 40,000, which Jetten called.
The river saw two more checks, Jetten rolled over but threw it into the muck when Cao revealed to take the hand and climb to 2.1 million, while Jetten dropped to 1.45 million.
Over on the other table, it was O’Dwyer who was the aggressor, making it 85,000 from the button and Steffen Sontheimer defended from the big blind.
The flop fell and saw no betting, with Sontheimer also checking the turn. O’Dwyer made a delayed c-bet of 75,000 and that was enough to take it down.
