Nine Return at 2:15 PM to Battle it Out for the A$20,000 High Roller Champ Title
Welcome back to the final day of the A$20,000 High Roller here at The Star Sydney Champs with nine players returning to the felt to battle it out. All nine players will have two goals in mind, first to make it into the money. Second, to be victorious and take the lion-share of the A$703,000 prize pool home with them as the winner will walk away with A$316,350 and the amazing trophy.
Coming back into the final table at 2:15 p.m. local time with the chip lead is Tom Rafferty with 469,500 in chips. He is followed by Ebon Bokody who bagged 429,000 last night with Vincent Huang in third place with 240,000 in chips. These three players are the only ones to have bagged an above-average stack.
Gautam Dhingra, Sean Ragozinni, and Michael Egan all bagged around 40 big blinds so they are probably not worried yet as they have enough to work with still. Mladen Vukovic, Hun Wei “Andy” Lee, and Matthew Wakeman bagged a below 20 big blind stack so they will be trying to run their shorter stacks up from the get-go.
When the players return, they will finish the last six minutes of Level 12 which features a small blind of 2,000, big blind of 4,000, and a big blind ante of 4,000. Play will continue until a champion has been crowned with a 10-minute break after every two levels as level duration has increased to 60 minutes each. A live stream will be available again via the Run It Up Twitch channel with commentary by Ricky “RatedGTO” Guan and Jimmy “untitled2jc” Cappucci with the hole cards on a security delay.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be from the moment the shoe will be loaded until the final hand has been dealt with the usual live updates. So, keep following the updates to see who will be crowned the High Roller Champ down under.
