Ebanks Back Into the Lead Right Before Dinner

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Just before the tournament went on the one-hour dinner break for Day 2, Joe Ebanks moved back into the chip lead thanks to a big pot against RJ Sullivan.

Ebanks started the hand by opening with a raise to 6,500 from middle position, and Sullivan called from the hijack seat. Everyone else folded, and the flop came down {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Ebanks bet 10,200, and Sullivan called.

The turn was the {Q-Spades}, and Ebanks fired again. This time he fired 31,000. Sullivan stuck around by making another call.

The river was the {3-Diamonds}, and Ebanks reached into his stack before piling out a big bet of 70,000. Sullivan mulled it over for a minute or two, then folded, and Ebanks won the pot.
