Joe Serock Eliminated in 3rd Place ($26,000)

Level 24 : 7,000/14,000, 2,000 ante
Joe Serock -- 3rd Place
Joe Serock -- 3rd Place

From the button, Joe Ebanks raised to 28,000. The defending champion Joe Serock reraised all in from the small blind for 165,000. Action moved back to Ebanks, and he made the calling, claiming that he felt he had to.

Ebanks tabled the {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} to Serock's {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}. The flop, turn, and river ran out {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, and Serock was eliminated. His back-to-back title run had come short in third place, but it was still an impressive showing by the defending champ.

Ebanks and [Removed:65] are now heads up for the title.

Serock Makes the Wrong Call

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

With around 250,000 chips already in the middle, the final board read {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} between defending champion Joe Serock and start-of-the-day chip leader [Removed:65]. After Serock checked, [Removed:72] slid out a bet of 165,000. Serock made the call, but immediately mucked after [Removed:72] tabled the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}.

Serock shipped over the chips and dropped back to 350,000. [Removed:72] moved back over 1.1 million and is once again well in the lead over his opponents.

Chop It Up

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Joe Serock raised on the button to 28,000 to start this one off. [Removed:65] called from the small blind, and Joe Ebanks called from the big blind.

The flop came down paired with the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, and all three players checked to see the {K-Diamonds} land on the turn. Again, all three players checked. The {9-Hearts} completed the board on the river, and all three players checked one final time.

[Removed:72] showed the {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, which was followed by Ebanks showing the {A-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Serock mucked his hand, and his two opponents chopped up the pot.

Serock Flips Out a Double

Level 23 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Joe Serock
Joe Serock

After Joe Ebanks raised from the button to 27,000, defending champion Joe Serock reraised to 67,000 out of the small blind. Robin K. folded from the big blind, and then Ebanks reraised all in. Serock called off, putting himself at risk for 349,000 total.

Serock: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Ebanks: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

It was a big flip with Serock's title defense hopes on the line. The defending champ stood from his chair and began to grab his bag, but this one was far from over.

Serock took the lead on the flop when the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{4-Hearts} fell. The turn was the {10-Hearts}, and the river was the {6-Spades}. Ebanks sent over the chips to double up Serock, who moved up over 700,000 in chips. Ebanks dropped back under 1 million to just over 800,000.
