Shakoor Doubles Again

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Aftab Shakoor was all in and at risk against John Ott and the two were racing with Shakoor holding {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Ott {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}. The flop came {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades} to keep Ott in the lead and he would keep that lead on the {5-Clubs} turn. Shakoor needed an ace, king, or queen on the river to stay alive and would do just that when the dealer put out the {K-Hearts}. A fist pump and celebratory clap came from Shakoor as he has moved from 73,000 to start the day to 375,000.

Ott fell to 175,000. He needs seventh to tie for PPC Player of the Year and sixth to win it so it's looking like he will need to hit at least one double up in order to do that.
