Josh Kay Eliminated in 4th Place ($23,656)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Josh Kay - 4th place
Josh Kay - 4th place

Aristoteles Neto opened for 32,000 and found callers in Ryan Franklin on the button and Josh Kay in the big blind. The flop came {J-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Kay and Neto checked to Franklin who bet 40,000.

Kay announced that he was all in and Neto quickly folded. Franklin made the call with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for top pair which was ahead of Franklin's {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and pair of fives. The turn gave Franklin two pair as it was the {Q-Clubs} and Kay needed an ace or five on the river to avoid elimination.

The river was the {K-Diamonds} ending Kay's tournament. He finished in fourth place for $23,656. Franklin moved above a million in chips with that pot.

Joe Ebanks Eliminated in 5th Place ($17,685)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Joe Ebanks - 5th place
Joe Ebanks - 5th place

Joe Ebanks started things off with a raise to 32,000 and Aristoteles Neto made it 95,000 to go after looking over at Ebanks and his stack. "All in," said Ebanks who was met with a snap-call from Neto.

Ebanks turned over {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, his hand caught in the cookie jar. Neto had {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and the lead.

Not for long though as the flop would come {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} to give Ebanks the miracle trip tens. It did give Neto an inside straight draw though.

The turn was the {J-Diamonds} and Neto would need another jack or king on the river to eliminate the WSOP bracelet winner.

"Yes!" came the yell from Neto when the dealer put out the {J-Clubs}. The gracious Ebanks came over and shook Neto's hand, whispering "I saw you looking at my stack and thought I had a read on you." Ebanks is eliminated in fifth place for $17,685, an excellent follow-up to his second place finish in this event last year.

Kay Doubles Through Ebanks

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

It was folded to Josh Kay on the button who moved all in for 187,000. Joe Ebanks moved all in as well from the small blind and Aristoteles Neto folded from the big blind.

Kay had {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Ebanks {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Kay would fade the world as the board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} to give him the double up.

Karp Takes Some off the Chip Leader

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Aristoteles Neto opened for 37,000 from early position and Steve Karp called from the button. Josh Kay joined in from the small blind. The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Kay checked to Neto who bet 58,000. Karp made the call and Kay folded.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and Neto checked after a long moment of contemplation. Karp quickly put out a bet of 66,000 and Neto counted out what looked to be a raise to 166,000, counted out how much he had left, and then decided against it as he slid his cards to the dealer.

Franklin Catches Kay

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Ryan Franklin opened to 32,000 from the button and was called by Josh Kay out of the big blind. The flop came {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Kay check-called a 32,000 bet from Franklin. Both would check on the {J-Spades} turn leading to a 58,000 bet from Kay on the {10-Clubs} river.

Franklin took a moment and then pushed out the call. Kay turned over {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for ace high with the ace high flush draw that didn't get there. Franklin tabled {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} to take down the pot with his pair of sevens.
