Dim the Lights!

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The action folded around to Jeff Platt on the button who shoved all in for 435,000. Russel McClean called from the big blind and the cards were on their backs.

Jeff Platt: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Russel McClean: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Platt took a commanding lead with trip aces. The {j-Clubs} on the turn left McClean drawing dead and things just got a lot darker around the final table.

Two More for Slikinski

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Sergei Kislinski raised to 90,000 in middle position and Cody Wiegmann three-bet to 255,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Kislinski who called to see a flop of {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Both players checked and the {4-Hearts} landed on the turn. Kislinski led out with a bet of 225,000 and Wiegmann just folded.

A couple of hands later, Scott Sisler opened to 100,000 and Kislinski defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Kislinski check-called a bet of 40,000 from Sisler.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Kislinski checked again. Sisler fired out another bet of 150,000 and Kislinski stuck around for the {j-Diamonds} on the river. Both players checked and Kislinski showed {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for the winner.

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The action folded to Jeff Platt in the small blind who just limped in. Sergei Kislinski checked his option and they saw a flop of {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

Platt led out with a bet of 40,000 and Kislinski raised to 125,000. Platt called and the {2-Spades} landed on the turn. Platt checked this time and Kislinski put together a bet of 270,000 which got Platt to quickly fold.

Carl Oman Eliminated in 9th Place ($9,045)

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Michael Lydon raised it up from early position and David Yokoyama shipped all in for 320,000 in the small blind. Carl Oman also pushed all in for a little more in the big blind. Lydon quickly called to put both players at risk and all three hands were shown.

David Yokoyama: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Carl Oman: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Michael Lydon: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Lydon had both of his opponents covered and currently held the best hand. However, the {q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop gave Yokoyama the lead with a set of queens. The {4-Hearts} and {7-Hearts} runout ensured a triple up for Yokoyama. Lydon still won the small side pot and Oman was ousted in ninth place.

A high-stakes "Tortilla Slap Challenge" between a handful of top poker personalities took place in Cyprus this morning.

The challenge was initially set to take place on Sept. 3 between high-stakes poker regulars Tony G, Rob Yong, Faraz Jaka and Phil Nagy at the Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party. It is based on a wider social media craze that involves competitors holding water in their cheeks and slapping one another with tortillas until one person spits out the water.

Roberto Marin Eliminated in 10th Place ($9,045)

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Roberto Marin was the shortest stack left among the final 10 players and he shoved all in for just over 200,000 on the button. Cody Wiegmann called from the big blind and the cards were on their backs.

Roberto Marin: {j-Diamonds}{10-}
Cody Wiegmann: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Marin picked up plenty of outs to go with his two live cards. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn gave him even more outs but the {a-Spades} bricked out on the river, leaving just nine players remaining.
