Day 1b of MSPT Deadwood Shootout Fires Off at 3 P.M. MT
The second of two opening flights of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Deadwood Shootout takes place at 3 p.m. MT from the historic Silverado-Franklin Hotel and Gaming Complex in Deadwood, South Dakota.
Today’s entrants will be looking to join Friday’s 26 survivors from Day 1a who came from a field of 210 entries. The tournament’s $100,000 guarantee has already been easily reached and will continue to be decimated with an even bigger field expected Saturday.
Players in this flight will be targeting Aaron Raap’s 570,000 chip stack which led Day 1a. Joshua Reichard, Josh Evans, and Justin Barnum are among those who also bagged healthy stacks to bring into Sunday.

As with Day 1a, 15 40-minute levels are scheduled, but if the field reaches 12% before then, a hard stop will be reached and players will begin the bagging process.
Players will begin with 25,000 chips and blinds of 100/100 with a 100 big blind ante. Ten-minute breaks are scheduled for the end of every third level and late registration and re-entry will be available until the start of Level 13.
Should fortunes not favor them today, players will have one more shot at bringing home some tournament money with a $250 Last Chance Showdown event scheduled for noon Sunday.
