Collins Runs Out of Luck; Hard Stop Reached Again

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Al Hart
Al Hart

Greg Collins found himself short after losing with ace-king to ace-nine earlier in the evening and then re-jammed his last 27,000 from the hijack over an early-position raise from Ryan Hunsinger, who called.

Greg Collins: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Ryan Hunsinger: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Collins once again had a big ace in dominating shape only to see the flop come {3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and give Hunsinger a pair of kings. The turn {4-Diamonds} brought him four more outs, but they all bricked on the river {2-Spades} and he was eliminated in 27th place.

Moments later, an announcement was then made as another elimination occurred at an adjacent table to bring the field down to 25 and reach a hard stop to end play early for the second consecutive night, this time with 33:30 remaining in Level 15 (12:30 earlier than Day 1a.)

As for the details of the elimination, a short-stacked player open-jammed for 20,000 and Dapo Ajayi re-jammed with {8-}{8-} to put the rest of the table all in. Al Hart called with {9-}{9-} and scored the knockout and more than a double on the final hand of the night. And with the won pot, Michael Wyporovich has risen to the chip lead past Ajayi to end the day with top stack.

A complete list of chip counts from the 25 to advance will be posted shortly with an end-of-day recap to follow.
