Matheson's Cowboys Cracked, Falls One from Hard Stop

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Shane Maki raised to 12,000 from the hijack only to have 2010 MSPT Running Aces champ Joe Matheson three-bet jam for 28,000 from the cutoff.

Andrew Eik came over the top for 58,000 from the small blind and Maki called having both players covered.

Joe Matheson: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Andrew Eik: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Shane Maki: {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Matheson was ahead with his mad hand of kings until the {3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop paired Eik's ace.

The {8-Hearts} turn was no help to Matheson and the {6-Hearts} river eliminated him just one away from the hard stop.
