Alsup Rivers It For Heaps

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Rich Alsup
Rich Alsup

A player in late position raised to 8,000 and Rich Alsup called in the hijack with Andrew Moreno calling on the button. A player moved all-in from the small blind for 22,000 and the initial raiser moved all-in for 250,000 effective which sent Alsup into the tank. After thinking for about a minute, he called and Moreno folded.

Small blind: {9-Spades}{7-Spades}
Rich Alsup: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Early position: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came out {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} which gave the early position player a pair of kings. The turn {2-Diamonds} gave wheel outs for Alsup and the river {3-Hearts} straightened Alsup out to give himself the winning wheel to more than double up to one of the tournament big stacks.

At another table Michael Jozoff was eliminated.
