Uppal Slowplays Aces

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Jay Philips raised to 400 from early position and found two callers, the small blind and Varun Uppal in the big blind.

The flop came out {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and all three players decided to check the low board.

On the {4-Hearts} turn, action again checked to Uppal who elected to bet 700. The small blind folded, but Uppal made the call.

The river brought the {j-Clubs} and Uppal checked once more. Philips fired 1,500 on the final street. Uppal thought for a bit before making the call.

Philips revealed {q-Spades}{j-Spades} for rivered top pair, but that was no good against the slowplayed {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} of Uppal.
