Welcome to Day 1a of the 2021 MSPT Venetian $1,600 Main Event

Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Last week, Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) hosted a $1,100 Main Event with Ethan "Rampage Poker" Yau taking home the lions share ($230,379) after emerging victorious over a 1,741 entry field and starting today, the MSPT will host another Main Event featuring a larger $1,600 buy-in with another massive $1 million guarantee.

The last time the MSPT held a $1,600 Main Event at Venetian Las Vegas was back in June when three-time WSOP bracelet winner Chance Kornuth navigated his way through a 2,011 entry-field to claim the top prize of $412,086 and his first MSPT title.

Starting Flight Schedule

In similar fashion to last week, there will be three starting flights with Day 1a set to begin at 11:10 a.m. local time. This time around, players will start with 30,000 in chips and once again, levels will last 40 minutes in length with Level 1 starting at 100/100/100 blinds. Players will go on a 15-minute break after every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break at the end of level nine.

Late registration will be available until the end of dinner break (approximately 6:40 p.m.) and players will have the option to re-enter an unlimited amount of times before then. Fifteen levels are scheduled to be played, which means action will conclude at around 10:40 p.m. The surviving players will bag and tag their chips and advance to Thursday's Day 2.

Stay tuned right here as PokerNews will bring you action from the felt throughout this event!
