After a player in middle position opened for 27,000, Matt Gilsdorf three-bet jammed for 43,000 from the hijack. Action folded back to the original raiser, who made the call.
Matt Gilsdorf:
Opponent:
Gilsdof got it in good but had to sweat it as the flop paired his opponent. The turn improved Gilsdorf to a set, but he wasn't out of the woods as the same card gave his opponent a gutshot straight draw.
Fortunately for Gilsdorf, the river was safe and he shipped the double.

Nathan Trimble opened with a raise from the hijack only to have WSOPC ring winner Bob Chow three-bet jam for 122,000 from the small blind. Trimble called and the hands were turned up.
Bob Chow:
Nathan Trimble:
The flop paired Chow but it also gave Trimble a gutshot Broadway draw. The turn was of no consequence and neither was the river.
Chow doubled on the hand while Trimble was knocked down to 225,000. That said, Trimble was eliminated in unknown action a short time later.

"Thanks for the protection," Waterman said.
Rob Waterman:
Nathan Trimble:
Waterman had a kicker problem and it didn't get resolved as the board ran out . With that, Waterman hit the rail in 95th place for $782.
