Final Starting Flight of the $1,100 MSPT Main Event at Canterbury Park Kicks Off At 3 P.M.
Two flights down, one to go: It’s time for Day 1c of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Canterbury Park $1,100 Main Event. The third and final starting flight presents the next opportunity for players to earn their seats for a Day 2 birth. Yesterday saw 324 entrants take to the felt, which along with 1a’s 241 entries, brought the total field up to 565 entries.
Another 45 players found a bag with Matt Morfitt and his stack of 507,000 leading the Day 1b survivors. That puts him third in chips thus far as he sits behind Day 1a chip leader Jake Blumberg (529,000) and Cody Espeseth (509,000).
Others to bag big stacks were Rodney Colson (396,000), Tom Zabka (362,00), MSPT Hall of Famer Pat Steele (361,000), and Bryan Skreens (277,000), round out the top five Day 1b stacks.
They were joined by players like Luke Nguyen (231,000), Jason Crews (148,000), Brad Sailor (126,000) and two-time MSPT Main Event champ Taylor Howard (117,000).

Today's schedule will mirror the first two starting flights and is the last chance for players to get in on the growing prize pool. The tournament will give players a starting stack of 25,000 with blinds lasting 40-minutes in length. Players will receive a 10-minute break after the completion of every three levels.
Registration will remain open until the beginning of level 13. If a player is eliminated, they will have the opportunity to re-buy one time until the registration period has ended. Play is scheduled to commence with 20:03 remaining on the clock in level 15.
