Daniel Kusnerak Eliinated in 9th Place ($23,919)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Daniel Kusnerak
Daniel Kusnerak

Daniel Kusnerak went all in for 1.225 in the cutoff and Salim Admon requested a count, which confirmed the amount. Admon then called and all remaining players folded.

Daniel Kusnerak: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Salim Admon: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Both players hit on the flop {8-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs} with Admon's queens remaining out in front. Kusnerak picked up eight more outs on the turn {9-Hearts}, but saw Admon be the one to improve on the river {k-Spades} to take down the pot with kings up and eliminate Kusnerak in ninth place.

With Kusnerak's elimination, the tournament has officially reached the final table with eight remaining, and the tournament clock has been paused while those eight rack up their chips in preparation for the final table. A redraw and updated list of chip counts will be provided shortly.

Zamani Leaves Kusnerak Short

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Daniel Kusnerak opened the action with a raise to 200,000 in the hijack and action folded around to Martin Zamani, who defended his big blind. Both players checked the flop {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

Zamani fired out 300,000 on the turn {4-Hearts} and Kusnerak called, bringing the river {6-Spades}. Zamani put out another bet, this time for 1 million, and Kusnerak thought for over 30 seconds before finding a call.

Zamani showed {k-Spades}{4-Clubs} for trips and Kusnerak mucked, earning Zamani the pot and leaving Kusnerak with around 1.225 million left in his stack.

Zachary Grech Eliminated in 10th Place ($23,919)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Zachary Grech
Zachary Grech

Zachary Grech opened to 160,000 in the hijack and was three-bet to 275,000 by Korey Payne in the cutoff. Dale Eberle cold-called in the small blind and then Grech called as well. The three saw a flop of {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and Grech checked. Payne bet 150,000 and was immediately check-raised to 800,000 by Eberle.

Action was then back on Grech and he thought for a long while before check-three-bet-shoving over the top. Payne called and Eberle announced a fold, showing {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} face up.

Zachary Grech: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Korey Payne: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Payne's set of queens was ahead but Grech's top pair and flush draw still had a chance. The turn {5-Spades} was of no help to him, and the river {a-Clubs} that came behind was much of the same, failing to complete his draw to eliminate him in 10th place.

On the other table at the same time, Satoshi Tanaka opened to 180,000 in the hijack and received calls from both Salim Admon in the small blind and David Poces in the big blind. The three saw a flop of {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and action checked to Tanaka, who bet 225,000 and received two calls.

Three-way action continued to the turn {3-Spades} and both blinds checked again. Tanaka shoved and Admon quickly folded, sending Poces into the tank for several minutes before finding a fold as well.

Helstern Doubles Through Eberle

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jorden Helstern saw action fold to him in the small blind and shoved all in for 840,000. Dale Eberle was in the big blind and called.

Jorden Helstern: {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Dale Eberle: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Helstern connected with the flop {j-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades}, picking up a pair of jacks. However, he also needed to sweat a gutshot to Broadway for the remainder of the runout, which came {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} to score him the dub.

Saad Ghanem Eliminated in 11th Place ($20,375)

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Saad Ghanem
Saad Ghanem

Zachary Grech opened the action with a raise to 125,000 in the cutoff and Korey Payne called on the button. Saad Ghanem re-shoved in the big blind for 1.12 million and action went back to Grech.

Grech went into the tank for a bit and eventually called all in for slightly less, totaling 1.095 million. Payne then folded.

Saad Ghanem: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Zachary Grech: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Ghanem was done in on the turn as the board ran out {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, giving Grech a three outer and crippling Ghanem. Ghanem did find a double with {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} hitting two pair against {10-}{7-} on a subsequent hand to get up to two big blinds, but lost with king-queen to a rivered straight against Dale Eberle on the hand that followed to finish in 11th place.
