Nick Pupillo in Day 1a action

Nick Pupillo was in the hijack and three-bet to 2,000 over an early-position open to 500. Brian Wilson was next to act in the cutoff and cold four-bet to 5,200. The original opener folded and action was back on Pupillo, who thought for about 30 seconds before four-betting all in. Wilson quickly called.

Brian Wilson: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Nick Pupillo: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs} to give Pupillo the two outer he needed to hit a set and improve beyond Wilson's pair of kings. Stacks were counted and Pupillo's totaled 19,500. WIlson's 18,800 was added up afterward, leaving him with no chips left to play as the pot was shipped to Pupillo, who now finds himself just shy of two starting stacks around an hour into the day.
