"Chop, I Guess"
Level 6
: 300/500, 500 ante
Action was three-handed on a board reading with just under 8,000 in the middle and James Ahlers was first to act out of the small blind. He checked to put action onto the big blind, who bet 4,000. Todd Melander was the final player in the hand and called from the hijack.
All three players then saw the river come and action checked through to showdown.
Ahlers showed for two pair, tens and fives with no kicker to play beyond the board's queen. The big blind sent his cards to the muck and then Melander tabled .
"Chop, I guess," said Melander as he showed his hand. The dealer confirmed and split up the pot.
