Barnett Crippled on a Beat

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Ryan Barnett checked from the big blind on a {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, and Cooper Wanty bet 60,000 in the cutoff. Barnett slid in a raise to about 155,000 and Wanty shoved for 343,000. Barnett spent over a minute thinking then flicked in a chip.

The {8-Hearts} turn gave Wanty a straight draw. The river: {j-Hearts}, giving him a winning two pair, and it seemed he could scarcely believe his luck.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Dixon was cursing his poor luck until the {10-Hearts} turn caused him to celebrate wildly.
