Kachel Flops Broadway to Eliminate Knapp

Level 16 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Bill Kachel
Bill Kachel

There was heads-up action after a {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop between Christopher Knapp from late position and Bill Kachel from the hijack.

Knapp lead out into a 35,000 pot, Kachel raised to 33,000 and Knapp moved all in getting snap-called by Kachel.

Bill Kachel: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Christopher Knapp: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Kachel flopped broadway but still had to dodge some cards as Knapp could boat-up with any ace or queen.

The {6-Clubs} turn wasn't what Knapp wanted to see nor was the {8-Diamonds} river and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Brandon Temple
Brandon Temple

Kyle Stronski opened for 15,000 from early position and Brandon Temple three-bet to 40,000 from middle position. Action folded back around to Stronski who moved all in for roughly 70,000 and was called by Temple.

Kyle Stronski: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Brandon Temple: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Temple was ahead with his pocket queens but Stronski held an over and picked up a gutterball with the {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop.

The {6-Clubs} turn didn't worry Temple and the dealer dropped the {5-Clubs} on the river eliminating Stronski from the tournament.

Picking Your Battles

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

John Reading opened for 8,000 from the hijack and MSPT Season 7 finale Canterbury Park champ Jon Kim called from the cutoff. Kent Battles then three-bet all in for 42,000 from the button before Mark Jaroslawski called out of the big blind. Both Reading and Kim got out of the way and the hands were turned up.

Mark Jaroslawski: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Kent Battles: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Battles held to more than double.

Carlton Shoves Into Trans Full House

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Everett Carlton
Everett Carlton

There was three-way action with a {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} board showing. Andy Tran lead out for 6,000 into a 30,000 pot from the small blind and Vladimir Revniaga raised to 13,000 from the big blind. Action was on Everett Carlton who three-bet jammed on the button butting his stack at risk and was called by Tran while Revniaga folded.

Andy Tran: {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Everett Carlton: {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Carlton was way behind and needed a ten to fall on the river to give him a better full house to stay alive.

Unfortunately the river fell the {a-Spades} and Carlton took his exit from the tournament field.

Kinney Doubles Through Bloomberg; Eliminates Juszczak

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Mark Bloomberg opened with a raise from middle position and Daniel Kinney three-bet from the small blind. Action was on Mike Juszczak who moved all in for 10,000 and Bloomberg four-bet to 70,000. Kinney jammed putting his tack at risk and was called by Bloomberg.

Daniel Kinney: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Mike Juszczak: {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Mark Bloomberg: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Kinny held the best hand and nothing changed after the {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop.

The {j-Spades} turn gave Kinney a full house and he needed to dodge an ace on the river to get a massive double up.

Kinney did just that as the dealer dropped the {9-Spades} on the river giving him the pot and eliminating Juszczak from the tournament.

Taleb & Torgerson First to Fall

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Nicola DiTrapani opened for 10,000 from the button then snap-called after Eric Torgerson three-bet all in for around 75,000 in the small blind.

Eric Torgerson: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Nicola DiTrapani: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop paired Torgerson but it did him little good as DiTrapani flopped Broadway. Torgerson was looking for an ace to chop but it wasn't in the cards as the {8s| bricked the turn followed by the {4-Spades} on the river.

Meanwhile, MSPT Grand Falls champ Ahmed Taleb was also felled in the opening minutes of Day 2.
