Livingston Doubles Through Wazwaz

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
James Livingston
James Livingston

Rob Wazwaz opened to 35,000 on the button and James Livingston three-bet to 75,000. Wazwaz pushed forward a tall tower of orange T10,000 chips, and Livingston thought for a few minutes before saying he was all in.

"Nice hand," Wazwaz said. "You're ahead. I call."

Wazwaz: {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Livingston: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

A {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Spades} flop meant Wazwaz was nearly dead, and the {q-Diamonds} ended it on the turn, filling Livingston up.

Cox Outruns Rothkopf

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Brian Cox opened for 30,000 in middle position and Jared Rothkopf shoved for 222,000.

"Alright, let's do it," Cox said, pushing forward his stack.

Cox: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Rothkopf: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The {5-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop gave Cox a commanding lead, and Rothkopf couldn't find a jack on the last two streets. He was left with 5,000 and busted out the next hand.

Thao Thiem opened for a raise to 23,000 and got a call from Mario Hudson in the cutoff. Josh Reichard three-bet to 60,000 in the blinds, and only Hudson called. Reichard bet 64,000 on the {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop, and Hudson called. Both players checked the {j-Spades} and the {k-Spades}, and Reichard opened {a-}{10-}. Hudson had {9-Spades}{7-Spades} and took the pot with bottom pair.

Van Blair Can't Fade Johnson

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Andy Van Blair had a wager in front of him on a {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop when Rodger Johnson check-shoved all in for about 100,000 effective. Van Blair immediately called with {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and looked in great shape to double against {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. The {7-Hearts} made things hairy though as it gave Johnson a straight draw.

"Five or eight," he requested, and the dealer obliged with an {8-Hearts}.

A disappointed Van Blair headed to the payouts.
