Ryan and Lauson Felled in Double Elimination
We saw former MSPT champ TJ Ryan exiting the tournament area, and a quick check with his former table confirmed that he had been eliminated at the hands of Ian Demrow. Interestingly, one-time chip leader Travis Lauson was also eliminated in the hand.
We learned the details secondhand from Jim Boone, who informed us the hand began with Demrow limping under the gun. Lauson then raised to 12,500 from the button, a short-stacked Ryan called off from the small blind, and Demrow came along to see a flop of . Demrow checked and then called when Lauson shoved all in.

Lauson picked a bad spot to bluff as he was behind Demrow's ace-high flush draw. Ryan was actually ahead with a pair of fours, and he stayed there when a paired the board. The river gave Demrow a wheel, and that was all she wrote for both Lauson and Ryan.
